Amazing genes and a strong work ethic demanded by Sudbury coach Mike Foligno have helped Marc Staal of the Wolves win the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the OHL's most outstanding defenceman.

The 20-year-old native of Thunder Bay, Ont., will soon join brothers Eric, of the Carolina Hurricanes, and Jordan, of the Pittsburgh Penguins, in the NHL with the New York Rangers. A fourth Staal brother, the Wolves' 16-year-old Jared, might eventually join them there.
