The Toronto Maple Leafs could be without the services of top-four defenceman Pavel Kubina for a prolonged period of time.
Kubina hit his left knee against Todd Bertuzzi's knee with 2:48 left in the third of Monday's game against the Florida Panthers. He didn't return to the game and had great difficulty making it to the dressing room.
